I want to see Major League Baseball in Portland, I want to take my friends to games on a sunny summer nights, I want my future kids to have memories of growing up in a ballpark.
My entire life I've been obsessed with sports, the players, atmosphere, jerseys, sounds. Oregon Duck games were the combining agent of our families DNA on the weekends. Blazer games, trying to get high fives, sweat bands, shaped me into the product and sport loving person I am today.
I feel fortunate to have followed a lot of those same voices into adult hood which have led me to starting Portland Gear and representing my city with an emphasis on sport and product. If you've followed the brand over the years, you know how much I love my teams and players, I still feel like a kid every time I go to games. Seeing the Portland Diamond Project starting to pop up several months ago, I knew I wanted to be part. I love sports and know that Portland needs another team, because I need another team! I love my Blazers, Timbers and Ducks, but a summer sport to enjoy the long warm nights, I NEED THAT. I promise to do whatever I can to make this dream happen, and hope that you'll join me in doing so! If it means making shirts, hosting events, posting pictures, getting signatures, this is my public vow for "No Rest Til Opening day." If you want to join me, head to portlanddiamondproject.com and sign the petition, we as a city need as much support as possible. This is going to be a long road, but in the end will be well worth the journey. Lets make this happen, lets be part of something big, and lets do our part to bring Major League Baseball to Portland!
