Since we released Cascade in Lavender during the summer, we knew it was time to bring something a little deeper, a little moodier, and perfect for fall! Meet Cascade in Iris - a rich, fall-toned purple that adds a pop of color to your everyday life.

About the shoot:
To bring this launch to life, we partnered with Matta Café on NW Flanders St. This coffee shop is bright and beautiful, filled with greenery, natural textures, and plenty of seating. It’s one of those places you could sit and relax all day, and the best part? It turns into a house music bar at night. While we were there for a morning shoot (with 7 drink orders, of course), we were already planning a return trip to catch the evening vibes.
One thing about us...
...we love our coffee shops! Whether it’s a place to work, catch up with friends, or just sip & scroll, we each have our go-to spots!

Zack ☕ – “One of my favorite spots in Portland is Good Coffee at the Woodlark Hotel. It has a relaxing lounge vibe with big tables that are perfect for working or editing. I’m not a big coffee drinker, but they have great alternatives like matcha and other options that make it an easy go-to.”
Madi ☕ – “I am obsessed with Less & More. One of their locations is inside the last remaining public bus stop enclosure from the 1970’s. The iced Black Sesame Latte is the perfect drink and such a good mix of sweet and savory.”
Elliot ☕️ - My favorite spot is the one and only, Matta Cafe—bright and beautiful, filled with greenery, and turns into a house music bar at night."
Yaw ☕ – “Cascadia Coffee Pub is my favorite because they stay open later than anyone else! I don’t have a go-to order, but they have a nice food selection and overall great service.”
Kira ☕ – “There are so many places I love that have amazing coffee, but one that really stuck with me was The Porch. It was a volunteer-run, donation-based spot where the coffee was great - but the people were even better. They were kind, welcoming, and made everyone feel at home. I always got their matcha latte, it was my favorite.”
Brooke ☕ – “Roseline Coffee on Alberta is my favorite! Super cute branding, the friendliest team, great outdoor seating, and the best almond milk latte.”

What’s next, you ask?
September was full of fun drops, big and small, from our Leatherlite Collection to our mini Bag Charms. The Portland Gear team had quite a fun time bringing these launches to life, shooting everywhere from luxurious homes tucked in the forest to our in-house studio right in the Pearl District. The next few months will carry that same energy as we gear up for the holidays with new releases, perfect gift options, and unmissable deals!
