1. Free Returns and Exchanges Available:
When you opt-in for Unlimited Free Returns/Exchanges at checkout, your return shipping label is included, allowing you to return any item(s) in your order for a refund or exchange for FREE. If you decide not to buy Unlimited Free Returns/Exchanges you can still return your items, but you will be responsible for the cost of the return shipping label. All returns are subject to the guidelines outlined in our Return Policy. Please note that the original shipping fee and the $1.98 charge for Free Returns & Package Protection is always non-refundable.

We offer you the flexibility to return or exchange your items either in-store or online, no matter where you initially purchased your order. 3. Take Your Time, We've Got You Covered:
We want you to shop confidently, which is why we're offering a generous 90-day return window for a full refund. If you decide within 90 days of your purchase that it’s not quite right for you, simply return your item in its original condition (unworn, unwashed, with tags attached) for a full refund.
If it’s been more than 90 days, no worries! You are still eligible to make a return after 90 days, but instead of a refund you will receive store credit as long as the item(s) are unworn, unwashed, and has the original tags attached, we’ll issue store credit for the current value of the product.

ReGear is Portland Gear's repair program designed to extend the life of your gear and reduce unnecessary waste by restoring eligible bags whenever possible.

What ReGear Does Not Cover
ReGear is not intended for all forms of bag damage and does not currently cover:
Zippers separating from fabric
Broken zipper pulls
Separated zipper teeth
Damage caused by force, misuse, accidents, or unauthorized repairs
Cosmetic wear and tear
Please note that if an issue is not eligible for ReGear, it may still qualify for warranty coverage. We encourage customers to submit a request through our warranty portal so our team can review the item and determine the best resolution.
Eligibility & Cost
Eligible Cascade bags within 2 years of purchase may qualify for complimentary repair.
For approved repairs outside the warranty period, customers are responsible for shipping costs.
One approved ReGear repair is available per warranty period.
How to Submit a ReGear Request
Submit your request through our warranty portal at https://returns.portlandgear.com and include:
Order number (required, including gifts)
Proof of purchase
Description of the issue
Clear photos of the bag and zipper
Incomplete submissions may delay review or approval.
Before Shipping Your Bag
Please make sure to:
Empty your bag completely
Remove all pins, accessories, keychains, and personal belongings
Package the bag securely
Portland Gear is not responsible for items left inside or attached to bags and cannot replace lost personal belongings.
Repair Resolution
Once received, your bag will be evaluated by our team. Depending on the condition of the item, we may:
Repair the bag
Replace the bag
Issue store credit
Offer a discounted replacement option
If a bag cannot be repaired, we will determine the best resolution based on warranty status and item condition.
Repair Turnaround Time
Typical ReGear turnaround time is approximately 2 weeks from the date the item is received.
6. Additional Notes for Luggage Returns, Exchanges & Warranties
To help us ensure every traveler receives luggage that meets our quality standards, please keep the following guidelines in mind:
Order numbers are required for all returns, exchanges, and warranty requests — including gifts. Gift recipients must have the original order number to proceed.
Keep your original box. All luggage must be returned or exchanged in its original packaging.
Photo of wheels required. Returns and exchanges must include a clear photo of the bottoms of the wheels so our team can verify the item hasn’t been used.
Used luggage is not eligible for a full refund or exchange.
Warranty requests require detailed photos. Claims submitted without photos cannot be approved.
7. Special Circumstances
Incorrect Shipping Address
If you enter the wrong shipping address, contact us right away at team@portlandgear.com. We’ll do our best to update it before fulfillment, but we can’t guarantee changes once the order is processed.
After an order ships, we can’t modify the address or contact the carrier. You may reach out to the carrier directly, though changes aren’t guaranteed.
If the package is returned to us, we can resend it to the correct address at no cost. However, if it’s not returned, we’re unable to replace or refund the order.
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout to avoid delivery issues.
Returning Multiple Orders in One Box
If you are returning items from multiple orders in the same package, you must include a note inside the box with the following information:
Your full name
All applicable order number(s)
A list of the item(s) being returned or exchanged
If requesting an exchange, clearly state the item and color you would like in return
This information is required so our warehouse team can properly identify and process your return. If a note is not included, our warehouse may not be able to match the items to the correct order. This can delay processing and may result in your return or exchange not being completed. To avoid delays, please ensure all required details are included inside the package before shipping it back.
International Returns & Exchanges
At this time, all international orders are considered final sale. As a small business, international shipping costs are extremely high, and there are frequent complications with customs when processing returns, exchanges, or warranty replacements. Because of this, we are unable to offer exchanges or returns on orders shipped outside of the United States.
If there is an error with your order due to a mistake on our end (for example, you received the wrong item), please contact us at team@portlandgear.com and we will work with you to find an appropriate solution.

I bought the weekender bag and after seeing the quality and look of it, I had to order the matching carry on. It did not disappoint! It rolls so smooth, has excellent detail with the logo, zipper covers, sturdy handles, outer lock, and the compartments on the inside as well. I’m officially obsessed with all things Portland Gear travel!!!!
I love my pink Cascade Carry-On. It holds enough clothes for a week long trip. It’s easy to maneuver through the airport, and down a busy street in Chicago, yet light enough I can lift it without assistance into the overhead compartment. 🩷🩷

I seriously love my Portland Gear Cascade setup — the Cascade Kit, Cascade Backpack, and Carry-On are all 10/10 for me. Everything is super well thought out. The quality feels really durable without being bulky, and the design is clean but still functional. The backpack has so many smart compartments that actually make sense (no digging around for things!), and it’s comfortable even when it’s packed full. The Cascade Kit is perfect for keeping everything organized, especially for travel — it’s compact but somehow fits more than you expect. And the carry-on just ties it all together — smooth, sturdy, and easy to maneuver. Honestly, it’s rare to find a set where I don’t have a single complaint, but this is it. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something reliable, organized, and stylish for travel.
Beautiful luggage. It's a little smaller than my other carry-on, but I can get at least 3 days of clothing in it. I will be using it soon for an upcoming trip along with my Cascade Tote. My only grip is that the handle doesn't extend as far as my other bag. But I can live with that.
I’ve been looking for a sleek, hard shell carry-on suitcase for quite awhile. I had been eyeing Portland Gear for over a year, and finally made the investment to buy it, and I love it so much!

Beautiful chocolate brown color -so glad I ordered this! Delivery was super quick. I have an old carry-on and trying to reduce, reuse, recycle so I kept putting off purchasing. The Bundle deal intrigued me though. The difference in this Cascade Carry On is amazing! First-those wheels! Never stick or stutter. The whole case is more streamlined, narrower and taller, easier to manipulate and SO much lighter! Plus the inside has efficient zippered pockets and smooth lining. Definitely better use of interior space. Exterior is totally weatherproof and strong; no dings, no crushes. I bought this Carry On in chocolate, the standard Backpack in forest, and the Kit in tan-reminiscent of a beautiful PNW tree 😂 I’m ready for any adventure now!

I love this carry-on. It really is light weight. I spent 7 days and 8 nights traveling through Switzerland and for the first time ever, I was able to lift my carry-on onto the overhead compartments on both trains and airplanes. This carry-on, along with my Cascade Tote made traveling just so much easier.
This set has been such a great purchase! So well made and so many little zippered spaces to put all my traveling needs. I couldn’t believe of how much I could put in it. And the material is so travel friendly, pulling in and out of airplane bins and from under seats it doesn’t collect grime at all . Again… best purchase ever.

I LOVE these bags! Just purchased the suitcase and was able fit so much in there for my Michigan road trip! I bought it for an Alaska trip in July. Vacuumed packed bags in this suitcase are going to be great. First 3 bags in for Michigan and plenty of room for a forth for Alaska. That and two of my Cascade backpacks and I’m good to go. I had a great experience with Portland Gear: my first suitcase came back from one trip all scuffed up. Portland Gear replaced it right away and my new suitcase has survived several trips and is good as new. This is a super lightweight bag, rolls easily and packs easily, too. I love it!
Very lightweight. I dumped my cubes and used the space within the bag. It seems to be spacious enough for everything I need. I’m hoping for a larger bag to check to use for longer trips. The luggage is VERY lightweight!

I bought the Cascade backpack & 2x Cascade kits. Felt like they were pricey, until I received them. I LOVE THEM!!! Ok, so I did return the backpack bc it didn't quite meet MY needs. But that's a me issue not the bag. The products were VERY well constructed & heavy duty. I could see them lasting a LONG time, even with heavy use. Realllllllllly sad that I had to return it. And now here I am, back on PG website because I think im going to try the Weekender & see if it'll meet my needs. I've scoured the internet for a bag & none of them add up to the PG bag.
Purchased a Cascade rolling bag and after the first trip using it, I found the lining had torn away from the inside corner. I contacted Portland Gear & they let me know I could complete a waranty claim. I was worried that I would need to get a box to send the rolling bag back when they informed me they would replace my rolling bag and that I could dispose of my old bag. I received the new bag and am excited for my next trip when I can use it. I love the Cascade rolling bag because it is so light that it is easy for me to put up into the luggage bin!
The Cascade Weekender and the Cascade Carry On together are the perfect pair for a travel weekend!! I fit 7 pair of shoes/sandals in the bottom of the weekender--I can never find a place for my shoes!!! Then on top makeup bathroom essentials oh my!!! These two bags make it so easy to travel!! Love them both!! They look so compact and sleek and hold ALL of my things!!!

I took several bags to the airport to doublecheck. I was so happy that this lovely bag actually works. So no surprises for me on my trips that I have planned for the next year!
The suitcase is bigger than it appears. It can fit a ton of clothes in the top section. It did get a little dirty when I checked my bags. I'd prefer a different color. But it really works for me.
It’s so smooth and even with added weight from a back pack it’s easy to maneuver on a variety of surfaces. Easy to wipe down! Love this suitcase!

I like the quality. It's a handsome piece of luggage, though it's pretty small. I deducted a star because it DID NOT include any instructions on how to set the lock. I figured it out, but this seems ridiculous, considering the price.

Very good product. Worked perfectly with the duffel. Zippers held up well, as we pushed their limit packing. Wanted smaller, simpler bag and suitcase, which we checked for overseas travel and stayed closed and good condition throughout. Still large enough to carry big boots, suit, and other items. Wheeled well even with max packed duffel over the handle. Extra long handle that adjusts big help. Overall, nice and light, but still sturdy.
The zipper doesn’t work as well as I would expect but otherwise great suitcase. Perfect for a few days away.
Love this hard shell carry on, it’s small appearance is deceptive because once it’s open it feels like a much bigger bag due to the efficiency of the design. Lots more room inside than exterior appearance gives off. It’s great, I love it!
