Back in 2013, Marcus Harvey started the @portland Instagram page after seeing other cities take pride and building a community on the new (at the time) platform. Originally, the @portland handle was owned by someone living on the east coast, and only showcasing their personal life. Marcus was able to show that he would use the page to build a community around a city and acquired the page in 2013. Since then, he's curated over 2,100 photos and videos from visitors and locals alike, creating a community surrounding people's love for the city. Find your next adventure, brunch spot, viewpoint or just take in the beauty of our city amongst the trees.
