We love TEDxPortland and the positive energy and inspiration it brings to our city every year. March 28th marks the 10 year anniversary of this esteemed event and with the theme of “Audacious,” this decked out Air Force 1 fits the mold perfectly. In working with the curator David Rae on a number of projects, the discussion of getting our trademarked P logo on the shoe started nearly three years ago. Seeing the samples and idea of our brand mark being on arguably the most iconic Nike shoe of all time was a child hood dream come true. I have a deep and unwavering love and passion for Nike and I’m so proud of these shoes and the energy and excitement they bring to the city of Portland.
Made of ultra premium leather, you’ll find subtle nods to TEDxPortland as well as our “P” logo on the inside tongue. Each pair comes with red and white laces so you can customize as you choose and with the iridescent swoosh and embossed “Ideas Worth Spreading” on the heel, this shoe is not only beautiful art, but a complete and easy to wear pair of kicks.
Enter the raffle on The Portland Gear App for the opportunity to purchase a pair of these exclusive TEDxPortland x Portland Gear x Nike Air Force 1's.
Saturday morning at 10:00 AM we’ll have 25 pairs of the Nike TED Force 1 shoes for sale at our downtown store! This is a SUPER limited edition release. Only 365 total pairs were made with the others going to TED speakers, volunteers and community members. Another really cool fact, the shoes will cost $495 with every dollar benefiting 500 scholarship tickets for 25 local organizations so students can attend the event on May 28th. Neither Portland Gear or Nike make anything, proving this truly is a shoe all about the community and creating an educational and transformational day for our city.
To match this limited edition shoe and celebrate 10-years of TEDxPortland we've created complimentary products that fit the "Audacious" theme. Choose from products past and present and grab the gear for this special milestone. Featuring a reflective jacket, hoodie, trucker cap, face mask, and socks + a throwback "P" Cap, Hydroflask, and recycled tote.
Thank you to David Rae and the TEDxPortland team!
