1. Free Returns and Exchanges Available:
When you opt-in for Unlimited Free Returns/Exchanges at checkout, your return shipping label is included, allowing you to return any item(s) in your order for a refund or exchange for FREE. If you decide not to buy Unlimited Free Returns/Exchanges you can still return your items, but you will be responsible for the cost of the return shipping label. All returns are subject to the guidelines outlined in our Return Policy. Please note that the original shipping fee and the $1.98 charge for Free Returns & Package Protection is always non-refundable.

3. Take Your Time, We've Got You Covered:
We want you to shop confidently, which is why we're offering a generous 90-day return window for a full refund. If you decide within 90 days of your purchase that it’s not quite right for you, simply return your item in its original condition (unworn, unwashed, with tags attached) for a full refund.
If it’s been more than 90 days, no worries! You are still eligible to make a return after 90 days, but instead of a refund you will receive store credit as long as the item(s) are unworn, unwashed, and has the original tags attached, we’ll issue store credit for the current value of the product.

This warranty is valid for two years from the date of your original purchase. Please note, warranties are only offered on your original item. Replacements will not be eligible for warranties for any time period.

Resolution:
Upon inspection, we will determine whether to repair, replace, or issue store credit for the defective item.

ReGear is Portland Gear's repair program designed to extend the life of your gear and reduce unnecessary waste by restoring eligible bags whenever possible.

Stuck zippers
Jammed zippers

What ReGear Does Not Cover
ReGear is not intended for all forms of bag damage and does not currently cover:
Zippers separating from fabric
Broken zipper pulls
Separated zipper teeth
Damage caused by force, misuse, accidents, or unauthorized repairs
Cosmetic wear and tear
Please note that if an issue is not eligible for ReGear, it may still qualify for warranty coverage. We encourage customers to submit a request through our warranty portal so our team can review the item and determine the best resolution.
Eligibility & Cost
Eligible Cascade bags within 2 years of purchase may qualify for complimentary repair.
For approved repairs outside the warranty period, customers are responsible for shipping costs.
One approved ReGear repair is available per warranty period.
How to Submit a ReGear Request
Submit your request through our warranty portal at https://returns.portlandgear.com and include:
Order number (required, including gifts)
Proof of purchase
Description of the issue
Clear photos of the bag and zipper
Incomplete submissions may delay review or approval.
Before Shipping Your Bag
Please make sure to:
Empty your bag completely
Remove all pins, accessories, keychains, and personal belongings
Package the bag securely
Portland Gear is not responsible for items left inside or attached to bags and cannot replace lost personal belongings.
Repair Resolution
Once received, your bag will be evaluated by our team. Depending on the condition of the item, we may:
Repair the bag
Replace the bag
Issue store credit
Offer a discounted replacement option
If a bag cannot be repaired, we will determine the best resolution based on warranty status and item condition.
Repair Turnaround Time
Typical ReGear turnaround time is approximately 2 weeks from the date the item is received.
6. Additional Notes for Luggage Returns, Exchanges & Warranties
To help us ensure every traveler receives luggage that meets our quality standards, please keep the following guidelines in mind:
Order numbers are required for all returns, exchanges, and warranty requests — including gifts. Gift recipients must have the original order number to proceed.
Keep your original box. All luggage must be returned or exchanged in its original packaging.
Photo of wheels required. Returns and exchanges must include a clear photo of the bottoms of the wheels so our team can verify the item hasn’t been used.
Used luggage is not eligible for a full refund or exchange.
Warranty requests require detailed photos. Claims submitted without photos cannot be approved.
7. Special Circumstances
Incorrect Shipping Address
If you enter the wrong shipping address, contact us right away at team@portlandgear.com. We’ll do our best to update it before fulfillment, but we can’t guarantee changes once the order is processed.
After an order ships, we can’t modify the address or contact the carrier. You may reach out to the carrier directly, though changes aren’t guaranteed.
If the package is returned to us, we can resend it to the correct address at no cost. However, if it’s not returned, we’re unable to replace or refund the order.
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout to avoid delivery issues.
Returning Multiple Orders in One Box
If you are returning items from multiple orders in the same package, you must include a note inside the box with the following information:
Your full name
All applicable order number(s)
A list of the item(s) being returned or exchanged
If requesting an exchange, clearly state the item and color you would like in return
This information is required so our warehouse team can properly identify and process your return. If a note is not included, our warehouse may not be able to match the items to the correct order. This can delay processing and may result in your return or exchange not being completed. To avoid delays, please ensure all required details are included inside the package before shipping it back.
International Returns & Exchanges
At this time, all international orders are considered final sale. As a small business, international shipping costs are extremely high, and there are frequent complications with customs when processing returns, exchanges, or warranty replacements. Because of this, we are unable to offer exchanges or returns on orders shipped outside of the United States.
If there is an error with your order due to a mistake on our end (for example, you received the wrong item), please contact us at team@portlandgear.com and we will work with you to find an appropriate solution.

I got this for a 4 day business trip for a conference at Timberline lodge on Mt. Hood. It was pretty great since I packed all the layered from snow boots to swimsuit. If you plan to bring things home purchase the larger size! I also bought the compact toiletries bag which is perfect. I tacked on an additional stay to visit Portland friends and just so happened to stay in the hotel right next to the store! They are wonderful people. I recommend this company.
The first trip with my Cascade Weekender (Compact) was a success! My Goal is to travel lighter and with just carry-ons, and the Compact Weekender has definitely helped. The bottom compartment is the best for extra shoes or clothes! I love all the organization compartments. It fits under the airplane seat perfectly and is sturdy enough that I don’t worry about it scratching or getting dirty. I wish there was a loop or a dedicated space for a luggage/name tag and an outside bottle holder would be nice, but otherwise it’s great!
This is a great travel bag for short trips. I used it this weekend for the Eugene marathon. Packed my running shoes in the bottom and had enough room for clothes, toiletries, and my laptop. It’s comfortable on the shoulder and walking around the airport as well. Simple and stylish. Well done, Portland Gear. Shoutout Zack Dean for putting me on.

I had purchased the backpack first for my 15 hour trip to Abu Dhabi, Then I saw the passport holder so I had to get that. Then while I was there, I saw the Fun weekender bag so I had to have that waiting for me when I got home and it is pretty large so that’s a plus for going for a long extended weekend, but now I’m thinking I need them compact weekender so that it’s smaller for my two day trips. Love the quality love the fast service and I love it all my items can match. The only thing I wish is that there was a soft side suitcase, I see that from a lot of people wishing maybe someday fingers crossed.
Exactly what I was looking for! I needed a carry-on bag that I can stow under the airplane seat, holds all of my work stuff for short trips, plus personal items. I was able to even throw in workout gear and two pairs of shoes in the bottom compartment. This checks all the boxes, and the quality is obviously fantastic!
Have already several cascade bags in the family. This is our first compact. Great for gym bag… smaller than first gen cascade stander but excellent weight as a daily for gym. Laptops just fits.! Great that Portland reads reviews… last year complained about the weight and excess size. … don get me wrong… Standard is great for weekend and carry on travel…. Compact great as a daily for gym. My daughter and I each bought a compact weekender bag for our latest trip to the UK. The bags were perfect as our carryons along with our compact cascade backpacks as under the seat personal items. The dimensions of the compact weekender meet the requirements for most UK airlines as a carryon. We roamed through the UK and then made a stop in Iceland where we stored our large bag and lived out of our weekenders- perfection! Interestingly we did not go into the store with the intention of buying the bags, though I did want to see them. We went to see about getting the zipper mended on my daughter’s backpack. The salesperson at the store asked when we bought it, if I had a phone number on file- yes to both, it was within the warranty window and boom- she had a new backpack. It was so easy and refreshingly good customer service that we bought the two new bags. I love my Portland Gear and will continue to expand my collection. Great gear.

I have a 17” laptop and even though it fits in the bag, it makes closing the bag while full of other items a bit difficult.

Perfect size tote for a couple of upcoming trips. I love the frame that allows you to easily open on the top.
Unfortunately the zipper for the trolley sleeve broke after one use so I'm not able to zip it up and use it as a pocket when I'm not transporting it on my suitcase. Otherwise, it so far meets my needs.
The compact bag was great — stylish, well-made, and the perfect size for a 2-day getaway. It fit everything I needed without feeling bulky, and it was easy to carry. Definitely a solid option for short trips. If you pack a lot, I would size up.
Love the bag overall, my only complaint was that I got the smaller one and realized I needed the bigger one. Love all the features and pockets and may get a compact one again someday.
I just landed in NYC with my new compact weekender in Navy blue and I love it! I did a lot of research before buying this bag. It’s my first time purchasing from this company. It arrived within a few weeks after the purchase, packed nicely. About the bag—it fits perfectly under the airplane seat if you scrunch down the top part a bit which was not a problem and did not leave a crease in the bag. It’s made extremely well, durable, has a lot of pockets and compartments (I use them all!) to keep everything super organized so that I no longer have to dig through to find something. The separate shoe compartment on the bottom is deep enough to hold fairly large bulky items. The zipper is smooth, strong and very stylish looking. The handles are rounded and comfortable in my hand, and just the right length that the bottom of the bag does not drag on the ground when held even though I’m short (5.0’). The bag is surprisingly lightweight though sturdy. This bag is an amazing value! I’m very happy with my purchase. All in all, I would give this bag a 12/10!!
I love that this thing is basically waterproof. I use it as a work bag and it is so roomy and has so many pockets and it just looks great! I am very happy with this bag and it makes me want to buy more🤣. I’m looking forward to actually traveling with it because I think it’ll be great.
It did not fit under the first-class aisle seat in one of the planes I was in. It might have fit the window seat.
I love this personal item and can’t wait to travel with it! The shoe compartment can definitely fit 2 pair of shoes. The top opens wide and is light colored inside so you can find things. My laptop fits perfectly in the interior sleeve. It has 2 water bottle interior sleeves. I looked around for months and chose this bag. Very happy!

I think I will really enjoy this bag - I love the color, feel, design and size. However, the zippers are very noisy so I will need to add some paracord to the zipper pulls to muffle the rattling sound.
I’m looking forward to using this compact weekender on my next trip. It’s large enough to hold all the things I don’t want to pack in my checked bag. I love the color (blush). It’s replacing a vera bradley weekender that I’ve had for 15 years.

Just got mine in navy blue. It came in a little over 2 weeks. It’s beautiful, made very well. I just hope it fits underneath my the seat.
Its a horrible bag. Very hard to to travel with. Can’t get a refund.
I would totally give it 5 stars if the water holder allowed just one more inch for a traditional modern size travel bottle. I ordered a 20 oz one and hopefully that will fit. The bag is beautiful and the only one out there that really does stand up on its own quite well. Thank you!
Bought the compact one after purchasing the bigger one. The bigger one did not fit under my first class seat, for which I was surprised. This one, though I have not used it yet, will definitely fit and still have the functionality of the bigger one

Nice and roomy, got the compact as I'm only 5,2. All my essentials for my trip, and a complete set of clothes and shoes in the bottom section just in case my check in luggage gets lost. Great construction and appearance

I bought the larger one and I love it! I realized it was actually larger than I needed for a couple of days on the road. Bought the smaller one after a weekend get away! The feel of both is incredible! Sturdy, zippers are smooth, tons of room and I loved finding the little hidden pockets!
